    Dear Methacton Families,

The Methacton School District and the Methacton School Board Directors have advocated for and have taken action to provide families/students with in person and online instructional options during this pandemic. Unfortunately, I must inform everyone, that in an abundance of caution, I must call a functional closure of in person instruction at all Methacton Schools for Monday, December 21, 2020. This means that all student groups in all grades will attend online instruction on Monday, December 21, 2020. North Montco Technical Career Center will operate in person instruction as scheduled.

I have requested a meeting with the Board of School Directors for Monday evening December 21, 2020 beginning at 7:30 P.M. to discuss the issues and for them to consider the immediate matters and their related challenges come the first week of January 2021. My recommendation is that we remain virtual from December 22, 2020 through January 8, 2021 and return to in person instruction beginning January 11, 2021. This allows for greater consistency with instructional delivery and allows families and the district to plan.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. David Zerbe

    Superintendent of School
