    Gatsby Poster

Congratulations to the cast of The Great Gatsby!

THE STORY: Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan during the summer of 1922. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed, and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to the stage in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, and in Simon Levy’s adaptation, approved by the Fitzgerald Estate.

Please be advised that The Great Gatsby covers many topics that may be difficult for some audience members. Moments of racism, domestic violence, mild profanity, alcohol abuse, murder, and suicide do occur. Our students have worked diligently to portray these sensitive and important issues in respectful and responsible ways. The beliefs of those portrayed in this production are not those of the Methacton School District.
