Dear Methacton Students and Families,

Annually, we provide a reminder to students and families that they can use the Safe2Say Something app and helpline to report anything that makes them or a friend feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Students can report tips about child abuse, bullying, racial bias, discrimination, threats, self-harm, depression, and other troubling behaviors or actions. All tips are anonymous. Safe2Say is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.

The state’s Safe2Say Something team has developed live virtual training sessions (30 minutes) for students in grades 6-12.  These trainings consist of an overview of the Safe2Say Reporting System and instructions on how to report a tip.  We will be scheduling this training for our students in grades 6-12 at the end of October or early November.
