Arcola summer ELA work

summer reading

Summer is a great time to unwind, spend time outdoors, and enjoy time with family and friends. It is also a great time to READ

In order to help prevent the “summer slide,” 7th and 8th graders are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to work on these short activities over the summer.  The link you see below contains a slideshow with some EXCELLENT reading suggestions from teachers at Arcola as well as quick writing activities to review what you read.  Read a new genre of book or your favorite genre.  Then submit your short writing activity to the link in the slideshow.  There are resources in the presentation to help you find books online.

Have a fantastic summer Arcola!
