The auditorium at Arcola Intermediate School officially opened with a ribbon cutting on Friday, Jan 4th, to coincide with the annual Celebration of the Arts concert and art display.  The event, which is presented by Methacton School District Music and Art departments, supports music and art scholarships for Methacton students. Members of the Methacton School Board took part in the ribbon-cutting to officially signal the completion of the newly renovated Arcola Auditorium. The $4.2 million dollar project began in April 2018 and was substantially completed by the end of November 2018. The improvements include new roofing, HVAC equipment, ductwork, and controls. The space now features new stage and house lighting, a new sound system, acoustic ceiling clouds and wall panels. It also includes seating for nearly 1,400 people.
