English Language Development
Our English Language Development (ELD) program supports students in grades K-12 as they build the academic and social language necessary for success in school and everyday life. We follow the Methacton School District's Planned Course of Instruction, ensuring a consistent and comprehensive educational experience.
The ELD program's primary goal is to help English Learners (ELs) develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, enabling them to fully participate in the academic and social environment.
The ELD program provides targeted instruction that focuses on building essential English language skills, including vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension, while also supporting students in accessing the general curriculum.
