Sealed Bids for SKYVIEW (OLD ARCOLA SECTION) & WORCESTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS 2026 RE-ROOFING PROJECT for Methacton School District will be received until 11:00 am EST on Monday, February 9, 2026, mailed or hand-delivered to the attention of Mr. Doug Kenwood, Director of Facilities, Methacton School District, Facilities Building, 4001-C Eagleville Road, Eagleville, PA 19403. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after specified closing time.

MANDATORY ONLINE TEAMS PRE-BID MEETING:

A mandatory Online Teams pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 10:00 am. All bidders who request a bid package will be invited to the Online Teams Pre-Bid Meeting. All of the drawings, specifications and photos will be presented to make everything understandable.

There will also be a mandatory pre-bid conference on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm EST, at the Arcola Intermediate School, 4001 Eagleville Road, Eagleville, PA 19403. Roofers must first sign in at the Main Entrance and will then be escorted onto the roof with the owner. After signing out, we will then go to Worcester Elementary School and sign in at the main entrance before going onto the roof. Contractors shall not visit the site at any other time except for the pre-bid meeting.

The complete Invitation to Bid, bidding instructions, and Project Bid Documents will be available beginning January 19, 2026, by calling the Roof Consultant. Documents will be provided at no charge, via email, in PDF format. Printed and bound sets will be provided at $25.00 per set.

The right to waive any informality or defect in any Bid, to reject any or all Bids or to award any Contract in the best interest of the Owner is reserved. Bids may be held by the owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, during which time the Bids will remain firm.

A 10% Bid Bond (included with the Bid and other required documentation) and 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond, equal to the Contract price, will be required. All Bonds must be submitted on the forms included in the bid documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit in the form set forth in the Bidding Documents.

Work shall begin on June 17, 2026, and shall be substantially completed by August 9, 2026, with Final Completion achieved by August 23, 2026. Roofing Contractors shall man the project accordingly to ensure the entire project is completed by the dates noted above.

Bidders on this Work and all subcontractors shall comply with all provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.

Bidders on this Work and all subcontractors shall comply with all provisions of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Procurement Code for Prevention of Environmental Pollution.
