Welcome Back, Methacton!

PowerSchool is the district's student information system. PowerSchool is designed to provide families with "single source" access to all of your student's education information, including contact and family information, transportation information, and more. 

If you have not already established your portal access, please call the main office at your student’s school to obtain the necessary credentials (Access ID and Password for each student) to create your account.

• Download instructions on how to create your PowerSchool parent portal account.

• Download instructions on how to add an additional student to an existing account.

After downloading the PowerSchool app, you will need to enter the district code: ZPDM
 

Please review the following procedures for reporting an absence, tardy or early departure:

• Use the PowerSchool Attendance Monitor* to report an absence, tardy or early departure whenever possible. Using this method serves as a written excuse and requires no further action, unless a doctor's note is required.
• If you cannot use PowerSchool, you can call your school's attendance line. If you use this method, a signed paper note must be submitted to the attendance office within three (3) days. That note needs to include: student name, student ID number, date of absence, reason for absence, parent/guardian name and signature. If a note is not received within three days, the absence will be marked as unexcused.
• Emails are no longer an accepted form of attendance reporting.

If the school has not been notified of your child's absence, staff will contact a parent or guardian to ensure the student is safe and accounted for.

Please note that the school must be notified of an absence within 15 minutes of the start of the school day.

*The PowerSchool Attendance Monitor can only be accessed from a web browser, not within the PowerSchool app

The Methacton Backpack Program provides students in need with supplemental food items. Families who qualify for free/reduced meals are eligible to apply for the Backpack Program.

Methacton School District offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast is available at no charge to students.

For the 2026-2027 school year, lunch costs $3.15 Elementary, $3.45 Skyview/Arcola, $3.85 High School.

Check your school's website and watch for communication from your school for the school supply list! To access your school's website, go to the top right corner of this page, and click 'Schools.'
