• Rules and Regulations:

    1. Students are to be kind and courteous at all times. All other rules will be followed in accordance with Methacton High School policy. Any violations will result in detentions, phone calls to parents or discipline referrals.

    2. All students are to be prepared for class everyday. Being prepared entails:

being on time, notebook or section within a notebook, folder to hold all Social Studies handouts, covered textbook, and a pen or pencil.

    3. Students are responsible to complete all assignments, at home or in class, in the time allotted in a neat and complete fashion. Homework will not be accepted late. A 10% drop in a project grade will occur for each day late. Projects will not be accepted after one week.  The student is responsible for getting and completing all missed work.

    4. All missed tests and quizzes must be made up within three days of your return to school. All make-up tests and quizzes will be given after school or during study halls by appointment. Failure to comply will result in a "0" for the test or quiz.

    5. All assignments, test/due dates are posted in the classroom as well as on the teacher website.

    6. Grades will be based on tests, quizzes, homework, classwork and any projects assigned. All grades will be added together to form a raw score. The raw score is converted to a percentage grade by dividing the raw score by the number of total possible points for the marking period. All percentages will be rounded to the nearest whole number. Extra Credit: Extra credit can only be received by participating in the Community Service Program. Proposals are due before the interim date of each marking period and reflections are due one week before the close of each marking period (exact dates will be announced). Community service proposal and reflection forms can be obtained from the teacher.

    7. Grades are available online at Community Portal. Community Portal will be updated as assignments/assessments are graded.
