The Superintendent of Schools is responsible for the overall management and operations of the district, and reports to the school board. It is the job of the superintendent to work with the district’s administration to creatively execute the objectives of the Methacton Board of School Directors. Dr. David Zerbe
Superintendent of Schools
Dr. David Zerbe began his service as superintendent of schools in October of 2013.
Prior to joining Methacton, he served as an Assistant Superintendent in the Pocono Mountain School District in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania since 2008. He previously served as Pocono Mountain School District's Executive Director of Technology. Dr. Zerbe has also held other administrative positions at both the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit as Supervisor of Educational Services and Technology and at Schuylkill County Area Vocational Technical School (AVTS) as a building administrator.His background includes extensive experience with all areas of school administration. He has leadership experience at the vocational, intermediate unit, and school district levels. Dr. Zerbe began his career as a program instructor at the Schuylkill County AVTS in 1993.
Dr. Zerbe obtained his doctorate in educational leadership from NOVA Southeastern University. He obtained principal's and superintendent's certifications from Temple University, along with his master’s degree in education administration. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology with Secondary Social Studies Certification from Lycoming College.
In all, he has nearly 30 years of experience in education.

Dr. Ché Regina
Assistant Superintendent
Ché Regina is the Assistant Superintendent of the Methacton School District. He was appointed to the position in January of 2021. He joined the district in July 2018 and served as the Director of Labor Relations and Human Resources. As the Director of Labor Relations and Human Resources, Ché held a number of officer positions within the district such as Safety and Security Coordinator, Title IX Officer, EEOC Officer, and Interim Right-to-Know Officer. Before joining Methacton, Ché served as a Human Resources Director for the Keystone Central School District. He has been a Principal, Athletic Director, Physics teacher, Mathematics teacher, Varsity football and basketball coach, and Mathematics Department chair.
Ché earned two undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Physics from Mansfield University. He has also earned two Master’s degrees – one in Educational Leadership from California University of Pennsylvania and the second in Business Administration from Penn State.
Ché’s professional and educational background offers a well-balanced leadership mindset that will certainly benefit the Methacton school district in the years to come.

Dr. Jason Sorgini
Assistant Superintendent
Dr. Jason F. Sorgini is the Assistant Superintendent for Operational Services at Methacton School District. A graduate of Methacton High School, Sorgini received his bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University, and later obtained Masters degrees in political science and educational leadership from Villanova University and Gwynedd Mercy University, respectively. Sorgini then earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership, also from Gwynedd Mercy University. Dr. Sorgini also holds a certificate in Human Resources from Villanova University and a superintendent letter of eligibility from California University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to his appointment as Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Sorgini served as the Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations. He also has served Methacton students as the principal of Methacton High School, Worcester Elementary, and Eagleville Elementary. He has also previously served as an assistant principal and teacher at MHS. Dr. Sorgini also has served Pennsylvania students in the Lower Moreland and Central Bucks school districts as principal and teacher.
