Matt Walsh
Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
Dr. Matt Walsh joined the Methacton School District in October 2020. He began his career as a 4th and 5th grade teacher at Montgomery Elementary School in the North Penn School District, where he taught for 10 years. Matt was an elementary principal in the North Penn, Neshaminy, and Wissahickon School Districts for a total of 10 years, and spent 9 years as the Director of Teaching and Learning in the Wissahickon School District before joining Methacton.
Matt received his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and his Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Arcadia University where he earned his Principal, Curriculum and Instruction, as well as his Letter of Eligibility certifications. Matt earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Gwynedd Mercy University. He is passionate about teaching and learning, and supporting instruction so all students can achieve their fullest potential. Matt is also an adjunct professor at Gwynedd Mercy University. Dr. Walsh resides in Montgomeryville with his wife Bree, a Kindergarten teacher in Bucks County, and has two teenage daughters, Caroline and Julia.
