On December 1, the FCCLA club held its annual Holiday Tea event at Methacton High School. Students in the FCS cooking classes prepared all the food for the staff to enjoy during lunch. All of the greens used for the lunch were grown in the Windy Hill hydroponic farm. New this year -- a colorful art gallery complemented the longstanding Holiday Tea tradition and helped raise money for a great cause. The art gallery contained handmade pieces created by Art I students from a pattern design project. Our student artists sold 30 works of art during the event! A portion of each purchase goes toward the fundraising goal for the So Much To Give Inclusive Café in Cedars, PA– a new restaurant under the non-profit, Pillars of Light and Love. The café’s mission is to empower all people, including those with disabilities, to have equal opportunities to work, dine, socialize, volunteer, and learn. The FCCLA club also made a donation to the Inclusive Café to give back to the community.
