Parent Resource Library
Come in and browse the parenting resources in the counseling office. Too busy to read? Audio and videotapes are available. Children’s books are also for loan to help you discuss sensitive issues with your child. For example, there are books to help you explain divorce, separation, and death of a loved one or a family pet.
Evening Family and Parenting Programs
Evening parenting programs will be hosted throughout the year by the Methacton Elementary Counselors. These programs include childcare for school-age children and will be held at various elementary schools throughout the district. Be on the lookout for flyers for the following free or low cost programs:
Homework Without Headaches-- presented by the Methacton Elementary School Counselors. Two times available for the whole district. Monday October 22 from 4:00pm - 5:15 at Audubon or Wednesday October 25 from 6:30pm - 7:45 at Eagleville. Register now by contacting email@example.com.
Parenting with Love and Logic--presented by Family Services. This popular entertaining, skills-based parenting program receives rave reviews from parents year after year. We are excited to be hosting the program again this year.
Evening Guest Speakers- The Methacton Elementary Counselors are committed to hosting professionals with expertise in pertinent topics to families with school aged children. These experts share their strategies, techniques, and suggestions with our Methacton Families. Several guest speaker presentations are held through the year at the various elementary schools throughout the district.
