Methacton High School’s Kits-For-Kids needs school supplies

The group seeks to support less fortunate students around the globe by providing them with essential school supplies. The group is looking for your help by bringing to the Methacton High School Orchestra, Chorale and Band concerts on 4/29, 5/7 and 5/11 gently used book bags, pencils, erasers, pens, rulers, notebooks and any other school supplies. Collection boxes will be located in the auditorium lobby on concert nights.  Thank you for your support.

Class of 2019: Freshman Orientation will be on 8/31, 1:00-3:00pm.  All freshman and new upper class students should report to the main entrance of the building for an afternoon learning about your new schedule, taking a building tour, cooperative games, and exploring your extra-curricular options in the upcoming year. Students should dress in attire that enables them to participate in games in the gym.

A special night presentation will be held for incoming freshman parents on Wed. 8/26/15 at 6:30pm in the high school auditorium.  Topics covered: expectations for new students, what to expect during your child’s first year, meeting your child’s school counselor, as well as a Q&A.

HS Mini-THON has been rescheduled for Friday, May 29 from 2-10pm. For students now interested in attending the event who haven’t already registered, new registration will take place before homeroom in the West Wing main lobby and during lunches the week of April 27-May 1. Please complete a registration form, located outside of C220, and bring $15.00 cash or check (made payable to Methacton Activities Account) to complete registration. If you have additional questions, please e-mail Mrs. McGroary at JMcgroary@methacton.org

Class of 2015 Graduation
Wednesday, June 10, 2015
Methacton High School, 6:30 p.m.
We are planning for an indoor ceremony.    Each senior will receive 2 guest tickets for entry to the main gym and 4 tickets for guests that decide to view the ceremony on our internal live feed.   Additional information regarding handicap accommodations, parking, ticket distribution and other important details will be available early May.  Please note: all graduates are required to purchase and wear the regulation cap and gown (males, green & females, white).  If that has not yet been ordered, please do so ASAP.  There is a link on this page to purchase on line.  Females should keep in mind as they plan their outfits, to avoid dark or bright colors as they will be seen through the light white fabric of the gown.

On Tuesday, February 10, Methacton High School hosted a night for the parents of current eighth grade students planning to attend our high school.  The presentation included overviews of ninth grade expectations for each subject area, and Counseling addressed credits, graduation requirements, the scheduling process, and Program Planning Guide. This is the PowerPoint used for that presentation.
