Mexican War

PBS provides an excellent interactive/flash website on the U.S. Mexican War. There is a timeline and conversations with historians. The website uses flash technology, it can be viewed in school, at home you may need to download flash.

Considered the founders of Chicago, Catherine and Jean-Baptiste Point du Sable established a fur
trading post in the 1770s or early 1780s.  This link has a lot of information not found elsewhere on du Sable.
